As previously reported, David Hasselhoff's recent hospital emergency was due to a seizure. The Baywatch star has been battling addictions for many years, most notably with alcohol. A neighbor said: "I asked one of the paramedics how David was doing and he told me his eyes were rolling back into his head, he was drooling and that he'd had a seizure." Continued the neighbor, "this isn't the first time this has happened to him."

After being admitted to Los Angeles's Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, attending physicians chose to place Hasselhoff under a mandatory psychiatric hold to further evaluate his mental state.
