It's been 30 years since the iconic figure sang on a UK stage, but in a recent announcement Julie Andrews will be taking to to the stage once again. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will be joining the event while The Sound of Music star belts out new songs as well as the ones that have made her so recognizable today. Throat Surgery in 1997 impaired her vocals, and she has rarely sung since then, but after much recuperation Dame Julie Andrew is set to hit the stage, and is very excited about it. Said Andrews, "To perform once again in my homeland on the London stage will be a wonderful moment - it is where it all began for me. I am so excited to be able to share a brand new work with audiences."
