A few weeks back, Serena threw a temper tantrum at a lineswoman for her call of a foot foul. In her tirade she screamed, cursed and shook the ball at her. This was ruled to be "conduct that is determined to be the 'major offense' of 'aggravated behavior' or 'conduct detrimental to the game.'"
Serena Williams ended up losing that match to Kim Clijsters of Belgium.
The fine of $82,500 is record amount for the violation.
