Variety is reporting that Leonardo Dicaprio is slated for an animated film called The Guardians to be released in 2012. In it he plays an evil spirit named Pitch against protagonists of the film such as Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, Jack Frost, & the Sandman. No word yet on who'll be portraying those roles, but this marks the first time ever that Leo has done an animated character.

Leo to become animated!
