Mel Gibson to tackle Viking flick.

Leonardo Dicaprio is set to star in a Viking-era epic tale that will be directed by Mel Gibson. The screenplay is currently being written by William Monahan and if all goes according to schedule, the film is slated to begin taping as early as Fall 2010. No further details are known at the moment, but word has it the film will rival other Gibson blockbusters such as “Braveheart,” “The Passion,” and “Apocalypto.”
