Simon Cowell, the mastermind behind American Idol, has decided to bring the hugely successful UK television program, X Factor, to the states. The show searches specifically for new and fresh singers and is credited with bringing Leona Lewis to the forefront of the music scene. He recently told a BBC interviewer, "I think the show will go to America. It has to go to America. There has to be an American version of the show. To not make The X Factor in the biggest market in the world would be crazy."
